Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

It is a family owned business. Day people seem to know what they are doing and work well. Night worker is mostly on his phone or smoking. Each time we left we had to get our keys reset. We made sure not to put it near electronics thinking we were messing it up until others in the hall said they were experiencing the same thing. They got our two rooms wrong the first night and never apologized. The website says there is laundry as an amenity, you pay them $10 to do it. That being said night guy said he’d call us and we could do it at 9 PM, then 10- Midnight it kept being extended. My son stayed up until 4 AM waiting. Night guy did apologize for that. He knew at 9 PM that we were waiting because my son was out of clean clothes. The bar on the fridge is broken so it won’t hold drinks. Only one drawer in each of the rooms opens off the 4 rooms we tried. The cleaning staff is great. Parking is fine.

We flew in to Chicago for our sons graduation from the Navy. This hotel is on the up and up. The staff is absolutely amazing! The rooms are great! Now, it's not a luxury hotel, but the breakfast isn't bad, the house keepers are ON POINT and anything wrong was addressed immediately. (We had a bad bulb in our bathroom, changed in less than 10 minutes) It's only 1.5 miles to the graduation hall and they are very patriotic and gave us our sons liberty room at the best active duty discount. We are here for 6 days, I am so glad we stayed here. Everything around us is easy to get to, and let me tell you, if you're here for graduation, there are so many others here with us! I have met so many amazing people with their loved ones graduating, too. They allow you to decorate your door for your gratuate! The have a shuttle service if you dont want to drive or Uber. They also have extensive knowledge of the area and can give you pointers on things to see, do, and eat, that are less than 10 miles away. Im glad I didnt stay anywhere else. I love the local "hometown" experience I received here. The rooms are clean.

Keep in mind, when you're staying in a budget hotel, you really have to scale back your expectations. And you know what? It may be no frills, but I like this place. It's conveniently located near the Navy base, showers are hot with good pressure, and heater warmed the room pretty fast The bad: front desk is hard to get ahold off, and you may be waiting in the lobby. Keys will fail, tiny toilettries, and vending machines for other toilettries like toothpaste is wild, towels are SMALL The good (and what really sold me): I brought a tiny inflatable camping mattress, which I placed in between the two beds in the room. When I got back after the Navy graduation, not only were the 2 beds made, housekeeping even made my mini mattress. Sheets were folded, tucked in and everything. That was world class, and I'm deeply impressed by that simple gesture While not my usual type of hotel I frequent, this place did exactly what I needed it to do: give me a place to rest my head. No more, no less
